I’ve got no time on my hands. I bought myself two books tonight. Makes sense, right? Not really.

I was out putting up posters for the Child Care Forum and decided to get our book club book while I had the chance. This led me into temptation…Barbara Kingsolver has just released her latest, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, and I’ve been dying to read it. Unfortunately, it’s only in hardcover, and I just couldn’t justify the $33. But then, I saw another title I’ve been tempted by for a while, The 100 Mile Diet, and there I couldn’t resist. It was on sale. I bought them both, and am now going to sink into bed with Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. I’ve got 400 pages to consume in two and a half weeks.

This Child Care Forum I’m organizing is consuming every other spare second. I am both nervous about the turnout and excited by the political fun I’m having. I just hope that I can fill the room. I can’t have unrealistic expectations…but I really want this to be successful!
